Is Moontrail a sleep-training app?
No. Moontrail does not track sleep or tell families how a child should fall asleep. It makes the steps before sleep visible and predictable.
Does this add more screen time before bed?
Moontrail is designed for a short, parent-led check-in: a dark screen, one task and no feed or game. You can finish the screen-led steps before the final story, cuddle and lights out.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes. A familiar photo can replace a symbol for any step. Selected photos are copied into Moontrail’s local storage and are not uploaded by the app.
Will it work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Routine creation, Kid Mode, picture cards, timers and voice work offline. Store purchases and restoration need Apple’s services.
What stays free?
One complete routine remains usable, including Kid Mode, optional timers and voice, and your own photos.
Why is there a parent check?
Purchases, settings and external links sit behind a simple adult check so the child-facing experience stays separate.
