Plain-language privacy
Your bedtime routine stays yours.
Moontrail is designed to work without a child account, advertising profile or cloud routine service. This page explains the app and website separately.
The Moontrail app
- No account is required to create or use a routine.
- Routine data is stored locally on the device.
- Photos you select are copied into Moontrail’s local app storage. The app does not upload them.
- Moontrail contains no advertising, third-party analytics or third-party tracking SDK.
- Kid Mode, timers, picture cards and voice prompts work offline.
Purchases
Optional Moontrail Plus purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction and provides the app with entitlement information. Moontrail does not receive your full payment details. Restoring purchases requires a connection to Apple’s services.
The moontrail.app website
This website does not use advertising pixels or analytics cookies. Like any hosted website, the hosting infrastructure receives technical request data—such as IP address, browser information and requested URL—to deliver and secure the site. We do not use that data to build advertising profiles.
Deleting app data
Moontrail includes a local reset option that removes saved routines and photos from the app and restores the default routine. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored data, subject to how iOS device backups are managed.
Children
Moontrail is used with an adult. The child-facing mode does not ask a child for a name, email address, birthday, location or other personal profile information. Purchases, settings and external links are separated from Kid Mode by an adult check.
